“The best piece of advice anyone ever gave me was my mom. She said to never be afraid to ask for what you want.

There was a time in my life when I was like too intimidated by fashion or this job and interesting world, that I’ll sort of felt like maybe I wanted to be a part of and I was just too afraid. I thought I wasn’t cool enough, whatever, to try and go for it.

As soon as  I said something, things came together and worked out (which I know was super lucky). But if you don’t have the guts to ask for the thing you want, no one will ever know you wanted it–and it will never happen.

Kind of like that cheesy saying: ‘you miss one hundred percent of the shots you never take,’ but it really is true.”
