For those of us who only watch the Oscars for the fashion, the telecast and red carpet snaps have grown a bit stale over the past few years. Strapless dress after strapless dress. Loose waves. Little to no jewelry. On actress after actress. Yawn.

So when it comes time for The Met to have it’s annual fundrai$er and gala, us armchair fashionphiles get a little giddy. This is where fashion meets Hollywood and attendees pull out all the stops, making it the best red carpet of the year. At previous galas, Karolina Kurkova worked a gold gown and turban,  Beyonce made her very fashionably late entrance in see-through Givenchy and Christina Ricci slayed in a superhero gown. We love!

And even though The Met’s theme this year, Punk: Chaos to Couture  is a little iffy (when the filthy rich mimic  youth culture, especially something so anti-establishment as the  punk movement, how can we not roll our eyes?), we’re still excited to see what everyone wears.

Lucky for us, The Met is live streaming arrivals tonight at 7pm Eastern. We can’t wait to tune in. Until tonight, here’s a teaser:
