PAMELA ANDERSON’S BROKEN BABE
IN CONNECTED, A LUKE GILFORD FILM
We love when famous types surprise us. The latest is Pamela Anderson’s spot-on portrayal of an aging and drifting SoCal babe in Connected, a short film made for Motherload that shows the emptiness and disconnection that modern day people feel–and all the ways we try to fill it (green juice, yoga, affirmations, Instagram, SoulCycle, avo toast).
The best way to connect with people? By getting out into the community and serving it or by taking a class to teach yourself something new that makes you happy. Of course, Pam’s character learns the hard way. It’s a beautiful reminder of how confusing the modern-day definition of “connected” can be.
