There are no shortage of eyeliner options out there: liquid, pencil, creme, powder, gel, the didn’t-want-to-take-my mascara-off-last-night-so-now-it-just-looks-like-I-woke-up-with-liner-on variety. Yet, somehow, Jane Iredale has come out with a totally new kind of liner, one that’s equipped with powdered liner and highlighter. This clever stick has a different product at each end–twist off one tip to find an application sponge and a cap full of powdered liner, twist off the other to expose an application sponge and a cap full of highlighter cream.
The powder is easy to apply and stays on without migrating elsewhere on the lid throughout the day. The highlighter is a beautiful shimmering rose color that creates the illusion of bigger eyes when applied on the inside corners of the eye, near the nose. One gripe–both sponges are too wide to draw a thin, definite line, making it impossible to draw precise Kate Middleton eye, for example. But if you’re looking for a no-brainer tool to help bust out a quick smokey eye, this liner/highlighter hybrid is just the thing. —Julia McQuade
